Blue Tip Energy Partners, LP is an energy-focused private equity fund managed by Blue Tip Energy Management, LLC.

Blue Tip Energy’s managers are a self-contained energy investing and operating group that have worked together as a team for over 7 years.

During the past several years, Blue Tip’s partners have managed and operated an alternative energy investment portfolio for a privately owned diversified investment company located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  During that time, they directed and operated energy-focused private equity investments, totaling over $300 million, from several sources, achieving a strong track record of performance in the Fund’s targeted investment strategy.

Blue Tip Energy will pursue the same proven investment strategy that its managers have refined over the last 14 years.  This strategy targets low-risk underperforming oil and gas assets with meaningful upside potential.  A series of follow-on investments create significant additional value. 

Investments’ initial cash flows provide strong protection against loss of invested capital, and hedging makes the portfolio resistant to drops in energy commodity prices.  Unhedged production and newly added reserves preserve upside potential if energy prices rise. 

With offices in Houston, Denver and Pittsburgh, the Fund is well-positioned to invest in the best- negotiated opportunities in its targeted investment strategy.
