Executive Vice President
David is a registered professional engineer with a Ph.D in petroleum engineering and 33 years experience in the energy industry. David oversees all field operations and manages value-add activities for all portfolio assets. In addition to operating expertise, he has extensive business development and divestiture experience and supports both activities at Blue Tip Energy as part of the senior management team. He joined Blue Tip from Marathon Oil where he worked much of his 30 year career spanning various engineering positions in production, drilling, reservoir, business development, special projects, and management. He also worked for Exxon Company USA and Tristone Capital/The Oil & Gas Clearinghouse. In addition to considerable operating experience, David has expertise in stochastic modeling, reserve analysis, energy economics, and preparing assets to maximize value at exit. He holds MS and Ph.D. degrees in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston. He has published research in the energy A&D field. Prior to beginning college, Dave served as a United States Marine and was awarded two meritorious promotions during active duty. He was honorably discharged upon the completion of his enlistment commitment. David is married 33 years. He and Margie have two daughters. |
