Greg Brown – Managing Partner and General Counsel
Greg’s entire legal career has focused on the oil and gas industry, with substantial experience relating to the acquisition and development of oil and gas reserves, operations, transaction structuring and financing.
Prior to co-founding Blue Tip Energy, Greg was a partner at Lathrop & Gage LLP's Denver office working in their energy group. Among Greg’s past energy clients are several energy-focused private equity funds. In addition, he has provided extensive acquisition and operational legal counsel with respect to conventional oil and gas and coal-bed methane operations throughout the United States for many other energy clients. Before entering private practice, he was a senior tax attorney with Sun Oil Company (SUNOCO) in Dallas, Texas, and with The Superior Oil Company in Houston, Texas.
Greg holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Denver, a Juris Doctor Graduate Degree from Loyola University School of Law and a Master of Laws Degree from New York University School of Law. Greg is a member of the Colorado and Texas Bar Associations. Greg has been married 12 years. He and Jan have one daughter. |
